The characters Ian Westbury and DJSupahboy5 were created for the ultimate purpose of drawing attention to the Sprint Music Store in an entertaining manner.

  • Ian Westbury started a band called Fierce Blue Ascot in England in the eighties
  • Fierce Blue Ascot had a top ten hit and enjoyed short-lived success
  • After failing to repeat that success, the band broke up and Ian moved to America
  • He eventually opened a record shop where he works today
  • DJSupahboy5 is Ian’s employee and is he is also Ian’s foil in both musical tastes and sense of humor
  • The two of them work together to help listeners/viewers find the right music at the record shop/Sprint Music Store.

mixsherpa.com is the vehicle for building consumer purchase consideration at the Sprint Music Store through a repeatable entertainment experience. Our viewers shouldn’t necessarily feel like they’ve been advertised to, rather amused, with the added bonus of being able to take advantage of what Sprint has to offer by way of phones, music or ringtones with a click.

This video was shot to provide additional Ian Westbury content. It’s a “behind the scenes” look at the making of the Under the Moon video and it offers viewers additional Ian “footage”. This video gives more personality to Ian while gently poking fun at him.
